Emergency or Weather Shutdown
Northeast Data, Inc. operations may be suspended due to weather conditions, physical damage or other emergency conditions that prevent normal operations. The President / CEO of Northeast Data, Inc. will make the decision to close all or part of Northeast Data, Inc.
- Notification of Northeast Data’s closure is made through the managers / foreman of Northeast Data, Inc.
- In the absence of shutdown/closure notification, all normal Northeast Data operations will be maintained and employees should report to work as normally scheduled.
- Employees who, for whatever reasons, are not able to report to work prior to a closure announcement may use sick or personal leave for the time from the beginning of their regular work period to the effective time of closure, without the requirement of prior approval for sick or personal leave. These times must be called into the Northeast Data office 1 hour prior to the employee start schedule or the day will remain unpaid and will be recorded as an unexcused absence.
- Employees who have called in sick prior to a closure announcement or are on scheduled sick / personal leave during the closure will be paid in the normal manner and will be charged sick or personal leave time.
- If Northeast Data, Inc. remains open but severe weather causes problems for employees in coming to or leaving work, employees are permitted to use sick or personal leave or leave without pay, subject to their supervisor's approval, for times they are absent due to weather-related reasons when Northeast Data remains open.
- Unless otherwise notified, employees are expected to be at work on time. If an employee arrives late, leaves early, or otherwise alters his/her normal work schedule without prior approval from management, he/she will be expected to make up this time.
